The truck with a load capacity of 3.8 tons replaced the obsolete and discontinued GAZ-66, which has been in service for more than 40 years. From the basic model KamAZ-4350, this modification is distinguished primarily by its compactness, for which the wheelbase (3670 mm) is shortened, the tire size, the length of the frame and the cabin height are reduced, and the side platform with overboard niches is lowered.
